TACAM Support at Automotive Seminar

We wanted to inform the members of our community that TACAM helped organize the subject seminar “Turkey-Strongest Link in Your Supply Chain” in Dearborn on February 26, 2008 — this automotive seminar was organized by the Turkish Consulate General in Chicago and Investment Support and Promotion Agency of Turkey (ISPAT) and it was geared toward the executives of automotive firms, who were interested in obtaining information for investment opportunities in Turkey. read more

Meeting with Turkey Foreign Affairs Minister, Hon. Ali Babacan

Under the auspices of U. Kenan İpek, Turkish Consul General of Turkish Republics in Chicago, a meeting was held with Turkey Foreign Affairs Minister, Hon. Ali Babacan, in Chicago on September 21, 2007 with representatives of Midwest Component Associations and Chamber of Commerces. Serkan Özdemir, TACAM Vice-President, attended this meeting on behalf of TACAM Board.

Hon. Ali Babacan gave a brief speech on issues concerning the Turkish-American communities in the United States and expressed the importance of Turkey’s keeping in touch with Turkish Associations. Upon discussing his expectations from Association representatives, Mr. Babacan welcomed questions and remarks from the audience.

TACAM promotes, plans and executes programs that improve the humanitarian and cultural welfare of the Turkish community in Michigan and abroad.
